St. Ann Ministries

Adult Choir Martha Bailey 735-9777

 

The Choir prepare the music for the Saturday 5:30pm Mass, as well as join forces with members of the other choirs for special events, major feasts, and other events.

Practice days are Saturdays at 4:30pm in the Church.
 
     
A.C.T.S. Denis Perez 410-7775
  The ACTS community strives to assist members of the parish family to attain a deeper relationship with the Lord and with fellow parishioners through: Adoration (pray life); Community (love and caring for each other); Theology (study of the faith through scripture); Service (to God and each other). To achieve this goal, a three-day weekend experience is planned for women and men in separate retreats.  
     
Altar Servers Bernabe Robledo 344-4958
  Altar Servers serve God at his holy altar and the people of God by ministering attentively, prayfully, and reverently at His altar. Our commitment is to assit the celebrant and deacon during Masses, as well as benedictions, weddings, funerals, and Stations of the Cross.  
     
Altar Society Blanca Ochoa 643-4856
  The Altar Society is a behind-the-scenes ministry. They are responsible for maintaining the linens for the Altar and for decorating the Altar with flowers and banners.  
     
Bereavement Bertha Flores 736-1435
  Assist the bereaved with immediate practical needs and in some cases, act as their advocate. We offer opportunities to process grief in a caring environment. Offer them communal opportunities to pray for and remember their dear dead. And introduce them to community resources that are available to help them readjust their lives.  
     
Boy Scouts Phillip Muzquiz 735-5785
  This is for boys who are interested in total development from boyhood to manhood - learning leadership skills, stressing honor, responsibility and obligation to God, country and other people. The boys and leaders are a great source of ministry to our parish.  
     
CCD Sr. Blanca Hinojosa, HCG 733-9681
  Religious Education classes are for Grade School children ages 4 years old through Grade 12. Classes are scheduled throughout the school year. Adults and young adult catechists instruct the students using lectionary based materials.  
     
Contemporary Choir Rick and Laura Sanchez  
  The Choir prepare the music for the9:00am Mass, as well as join forces with members of the other choirs for special events, major feasts, and other events.

Practice days are Wednesdays from 7:00 - 9:00 pm in the Rectory or Room 3 (depending on the number of participants).
 
     
CYO Alfred Oppelt 316-0091
  Our group is dedicated and offers to all youths, sports and recreational programs emphasizing friendly competition though good sportsmanship modeled by adult participants. We invite all participants, catholic or otherwise, youth and adult to share in the life of their church and faith within the community. Our mission is to promote team work, self-respect, respect for others, civic and social responsibility through sports and examples from the adult leaders.  
     
Finance Council Roy Soto 789-1357
  The Finance Council serves as an advisor to the leadership of the parish, while being ever mindful of the overall vision and mission of the parish community.  
     
Guadalupana Society Mary Medina 734-0266
  We gather twice a month. On the 2nd Sunday of the month we have a fundraiser (usually a breakfast) and on the 3rd Sunday we have a meeting. We welcome everybody to join us for prayers, to hear the Word of God (in English and Spanish), and to help out the pastor when needed for fundraising, visiting the sick, and welcoming the faithful to the 11:00 Mass.  
     
Homebound Sara Valenzuela 733-1977
  This group takes communion to the homes of people who are unable to attend Mass due to physical limitations.  
     
Knights of Columbus Rene Rocha 507-7238
  The Knights of Columbus is a National Catholic Fraternal Organization and is especially dedicated to providing family and service activities that benefit the community of St. Ann Parish.  
     
Lectors Sonia Vasquez 314-9541
  Lectors are called to proclaim the Word of God during Mass and other liturgical services.  
     
Legion of Mary Sara Valenzuela 733-1977
  It is a world-wide organization of Catholics, men and women, who offer their services to the pastor and to assist in performing spiritual works in the parish. This is done by placing themselves under the banner of Mary so that with her help they may develop greater holiness in their own lives as well as spread a deeper devotion to her among others.  
     
Parish Council Denis Perez 410-7775
  The mission of the Parish Council, in conjunction with and in support of the Pastor, is to provide leadership and direction to the whole body of believers that make up the faith community of St. Ann Parish. The purpose of the Council is to bring all elements of the parish together in order to enhance the spiritual life of the parish as a living Christian Community. The Council recommends policies, goals and visions with respect to the life of the parish.  
     
Prayer Group Marie Sifuentes 473-5418
  The main objective of this group is to praise and worship the Lord. We sing songs of praise, pray for our community, provide Bible readings, and share the Word of the Lord.  
     
RCIA Hank or Daisy Milnes 733-9095
  The process known as the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) brings adults to the sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. The process is successfully used for persons who are not baptized; for baptized Christians who have been members of another denomination and seek to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church; and for baptized Catholics who are uncatechized and need either Confirmation and/or Eucharist. RCIA involves the entire parish community which is called to be a witness to those seeking to become Catholic or to be fully initiated into the Church. Sponsors witness in a special way as they accompany the catechumens and candidates during their journey.  
     
St. Vincent de Paul Angela Angel 734-5404
  St. Vincent de Paul seeks in a spirit of justice and charity and by person-to-person involvement of its members, to help those who are suffering. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00am - 11:00am we distribute food, clothing, and sometimes offer financial vouchers assistance in emergency situations.  
     
Sacristans Irene Arevalo 736-0395
  We are responsible for the care of the Sanctuary and making sure all is ready for worship.  
     
Social Club Marie Sifunetes 473-5418
  The purpose of the Social Club is to raise funds for our church and serve our community while at the same time providing a casual atmosphere to enjoy each others company playing Loteria, Bingo, Cards, etc.  
     
Ushers Alex Arevalo 736-0395
  Ushers are called to be ministers of hospitality to all who come through the church doors. They welcome everyone, assist with seating, special needs, and direct Offertory and Communion processions. They also distribute handouts and bulletins.  
     
Worship Team Candelaria Broadwater 670-9732
  The Worship Team consist of Eucharistic Ministers. Eucharistic Ministers serve the community by sharing the Body and Blood of Christ.

  St. Ann's Youth Group plans and implements a variety of programs during throughout year. These programs provide opportunities for all the youth of St. Ann's to become involved in many different aspects of the church - Youth Night, Service Projects, Social Events, Youth Retreats, and Ministry Opportunities for Youths.
